Millions of devices.
One connected Dream.

Helping school technology teams see more, manage less, and keep learning moving.

At Vivacity Tech PBC, I lead a five-person engineering team building Dream, the customer platform behind millions of managed devices. I connect hands-on architecture with team leadership to turn complex systems into useful software.

The company & the product

A device is only useful
when it’s ready for learning.

That’s where Vivacity comes in.

For school IT teams, buying a Chromebook is just the beginning. Deployment, inventory, repairs, and replacement all need to work together. Vivacity brings hardware, software, repair services, and training into one partnership.

Dream connects that work. It helps teams understand their fleet, coordinate repairs, and put device data to use. My team builds and operates the software behind that experience.

And the mission extends beyond technology: as a public benefit corporation, Vivacity commits a portion of its profits to giving back to schools.

What Dream makes possible

01

See the fleet clearly

Device inventory, reporting, and Google telemetry bring health and usage data into focus.

02

Keep repairs moving

Connected tickets, status updates, and parts tracking help teams manage the work behind each device.

03

Plan with better information

Device history and repair trends give technology teams a clearer view of their next steps.

My contributions → real product value

Behind the experience,
engineering that makes it possible.

As Senior Full Stack Developer & Tech Lead, I work from architecture through production. Here’s how that work connects to the platform and the people using it.

01 / FLEET VISIBILITY

Millions of syncs.
A clearer picture of every fleet.

I designed and implemented a major Google telemetry synchronization capability supporting approximately two million daily syncs across four million managed devices.

Why it matters for Dream: fleet insights depend on the data behind them. This capability provides a scalable foundation for bringing Google device telemetry into the platform.

02 / ROOM TO GROW

A growing platform.
A deliberate approach to cost.

I led the migration from Render to Google Cloud Platform, improving scalability while maintaining infrastructure costs. I architect and operate a distributed platform of approximately 50 services and five databases, with monitoring and service-level objectives guiding reliability.

Why it matters for Vivacity: infrastructure that can support growth, with cost and operational readiness built into the decisions.

03 / CONNECTED OPERATIONS

Enterprise systems.
Connected to the customer experience.

I designed the database architecture and implemented the majority of Dream’s API functionality for the NetSuite-to-Dream integration, enabling enterprise data synchronization through middleware services.

Why it matters for Vivacity: a connection between business systems and Dream, supporting the coordinated operations behind the customer platform.

How I lead

Accountable for the architecture.
Invested in the team.

I set technical direction, plan delivery, review code, and mentor five engineers, partnering with Product, QA, Design, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to turn priorities into production software.

Own the data foundation

Lead PostgreSQL architecture, query optimization, migrations, permissions, and production-sensitive changes across environments.

Build operational confidence

Guide IAM, role-based access, SOC 2 support, penetration-test remediation, production troubleshooting, and deployment practices.

Shape what comes next

Help drive the Dream Open API initiative, from integration workflows and authentication to usage controls, documentation, billing considerations, and production readiness.

See the bigger picture

The engineering is only part of the story.
